Safety Hasp - Steel Hasp / Nylon Body

A lockout hasp lets several people lock out the same isolation point. Each worker adds their own padlock, and the equipment cannot be switched back on until the last padlock comes off.

How it works

1. Close the hasp through the lockout device, valve handle or switch you are isolating.
2. Each worker puts their own padlock through a free hole in the hasp.
3. When a worker has finished their part of the job, they remove only their own padlock.
4. The hasp opens only once the last padlock is off, so nobody can re-energise the equipment while someone is still working on it.

Which hasp do I need?

• General plant use: the Safety Hasp with steel hasp and nylon body takes six padlocks, with a 25 mm or 38 mm jaw.
• Electrical work: the Safety Hasp in nylon does not conduct and does not scratch painted panels.
• Heavy duty and outdoors: the Safety Hasp with steel body resists cutting and weather.
• Light weight: the Safety Hasp with aluminium hasp and nylon body.
• Large teams: the Sliding Safety Hasp in aluminium takes 12 or 24 padlocks.
• Awkward lockout points: the Steel Double Action Hasp has a scissor hinge that adapts to different sizes; the Butterfly Hasp takes up to seven padlocks.
