Electrical Lockout

It depends on the toggle. Miniature circuit breakers with a small toggle take the Universal Miniature Circuit Breaker Lockout, which clamps the switch without a tool. Moulded-case breakers with a wide handle take a clamp-on lockout sized to the frame, such as the Electrical MCB Clamp-On Lockout 480/600 V for 480/600 V units. Measure the toggle width and the space between poles before ordering; each product page lists the sizes.

Pull the plug and lock the plug itself: the Electrical Plug Lockout Device closes around the plug so it cannot be reinserted, and takes up to four padlocks. For larger industrial connectors use the Industrial Electrical Plug Lockout. For a machine with an emergency stop but no isolator, the Emergency Push Button Lockout covers the button so nobody can reset it while the work is under way; it does not replace isolation.
